If I click these heels three times, will they take us back to the wedding day?

If I click these heels three times, will they take us back to the wedding day?

We took our engagement photos a few weeks ago with our lovely and talented photographer Alexandra Meseke and had so much fun posing all around Brooklyn Bridge Park and DUMBO. We’ve incorporated our photos into a few elements which you will see at the wedding, but couldn’t resist giving you a sneak peek!

The Westin Governor Morris

We have secured another block of rooms for the night of the wedding at The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, located just two short miles from reception venue. We have reserved two types of rooms: a Traditional King for $129 per night and a Deluxe King for $159 per night. Check in is at 3pm and check out is a 12pm. Round trip transportation will be provided by the hotel to the wedding.

In order to reserve a room and receive the special rate, you must call 888-627-8419 and ask for the Iacobazzo/Germano Wedding Room Block. The cut-off date to reserve a room is Saturday, September 17.

We’re so sorry for any confusion, and do hope that you plan to spend the night in town so that you can party all night with us! Please send us an email at mikelikesvictoria@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Accomodations

We’re so disappointed to announce that the Madison Hotel is fully booked for the night of the wedding! There are a handful of lovely hotels within 3 short miles and we are furiously working to secure another room block and transportation to and from the reception.

Please check back here tomorrow for information!

A few words on the reception…
There are so many wonderful things about a religious wedding ceremony, but one potential downside is what is affectionately referred to as the “Catholic Gap”. This refers to the time in between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception.
That gap is great for the bride and groom. We will have time to take pictures after the ceremony, so we won’t have to see each other beforehand, or miss any of the cocktail hour. It can be a bit more problematic for guests, who find themselves with a few hours on their hands!
The cocktail hour begins at 6pm, which leaves all of the guests plenty of time after the ceremony at Blessed Kateri to check into the hotel (if they are staying) and rest up for the big night! Madison and Morristown are both really lovely little towns, so if napping isn’t your thing, there are definitely some areas to explore. Additionally, you can get the party started early at Rod’s Steakhouse, which is conveniently located right at The Madison Hotel. If you have any questions or concerns about the gap, please send us an email at mikelikesvictoria@gmail.com.
And while we’re talking about the reception…
We are madly in love with the ballroom at the Madison Hotel! We think that it has just the right feeling for our wedding—it is classic and elegant, and not too fussy or impersonal. There is plenty of room for everyone, but we won’t be too crowded. The dance floor is large enough for everyone to get their groove on, and we are able to fit plenty of bars into the space, so no waiting for a cocktail! This is the picture that sealed the deal for us and we wanted to share it with you all, so that you could share our excitement!

We booked our honeymoon!

We depart on Monday, October 10 for Hawaii! We will spend time in Oahu, Kauai and Maui. We haven’t planned out our full itinerary yet, but some things that we plan to do include visiting Pearl Harbor, taking a LOST tour, surfing lessons and long drives along the coast in a fun convertible. Of course, no vacation would be complete for us without sampling all of the amazing food that the region has to offer.

Have you been to any of these islands? Have any recommendations for us? We’d love to hear them! Send us an email at mikelikesvictoria@gmail.com.
